A cultural initiative and a gathering place for exploring how art can bring us nearer to one another, and deeper into our shared humanity.

Through poetry, creative writing and community arts, Zhiva brings different voices and creative traditions into encounter.

We gather to give voice to our stories, to lend an ear to the stories of others, and to let our different worlds touch.

Here, artists, cultures and stories meet, mingle and cross-pollinate, creating sparks from which new possibilities can emerge.

Zhiva creates meeting places where we become sources of friendship, belonging, inspiration, courage and care in one another’s lives.
